From April 2015 to January 2019, Barry served as the CEO of Adorama, where he led the company's transformation into a premier retailer of professional cameras and consumer electronics. He introduced the FOCUS strategy, revitalizing key business functions such as talent management, finances, marketing, inventory, merchandising, and supply chain processes. This approach expanded the company’s high-margin product offerings and reinforced its competitive position.

Following his tenure at Adorama, Barry assumed the CEO role at Global Industrial Company from January 2019 to August 2024. In this position, he led an industrial supply distributor with annual sales exceeding $1.3 billion. He introduced the "Accelerating the Customer Experience" strategy, streamlining the selection, purchase, and delivery processes for large MRO items, significantly strengthening the company’s competitive advantage and increasing its market capitalization by $700 million. His strategic mergers and acquisitions, including the acquisition of Indoff in May 2024, expanded the company's market reach and customer base.
